This magical rhyme is based on an American Sign Language rhyme developed in the ASL Parent-Child Mother Goose Programs. Point to imaginary stars above you the first two times, then to your child’s eyes and finally, give your star a nice hug. This rhyme appears in ‘Where are the Stars A Treasury of Interactive Rhymes’ – compiled and annotated by Celia Barker Lottridge, Glenna Janzen and Carol Leigh Wehking.

Lyrics

Where are the stars?
There there
Where are the stars?
There there
Where are the stars?
There there
Where is my star?
Right here.
